Upcycling Plastic Waste into Flowers
We're excited to share that our recycled plastic flower-making workshop was a success, with participants travelling from as far as Keningau and Kudat to join us. We were also excited to welcome lecturers and students from MSU College, who added even more creativity and enthusiasm to the event. The plastic materials used in the workshop were generously donated by Uniqlo at Imago Shopping Mall, helping us transform waste into beautiful, eco-friendly creations.
Throughout the session, participants learned valuable skills in sustainability, recycling, and upcycling, and we hope they continue to apply these practices at home to reduce plastic waste.
A huge thank you to American Green Corner Sabah, the U.S. Embassy, and the Tanjung Aru State Library Branch for their incredible support and partnership. We'd also like to express our gratitude to the Sabah Creative Economy and Innovation Centre for their assistance with marketing, helping us spread the word and make this event a success.

Keychain
We are excited to share the success of our keychain-making workshop, where participants crafted unique, eco-friendly keychains from recycled plastic waste. Organised at American Green Corner Sabah and funded by the U.S. Embassy, this workshop brought together a diverse group of participants, including nurses from the Ministry of Health, teachers, and many enthusiastic children.
The event was designed to inspire creativity while promoting sustainability, as participants learned how to transform everyday plastic waste into functional and decorative items. It was wonderful to see so many people, young and old, eager to embrace recycling and upcycling in such a hands-on way.
The workshop not only provided an opportunity to create beautiful, eco-conscious keychains but also helped raise awareness about the importance of reducing plastic waste. We're grateful to the U.S. Embassy for their support in making this initiative possible, and to the Sabah Creative Economy and Innovation Centre for sponsoring the marketing efforts, helping us reach a wider audience and make the event a success.
A special thank you to the dedicated nurses, teachers, and children who joined us, bringing their energy and creativity to the event. We hope everyone left inspired to continue practicing recycling and upcycling at home, helping to build a greener future for all.
